Journeys that honour what you've lost

Grief Trips

Small-group retreats for people carrying loss. Travel somewhere beautiful, with people who understand, and let grief breathe.

More than a trip

Intentional travel, designed for grief

Not a wellness retreat that happens to mention grief. Every part of the trip - the workshops, the meals, the free afternoons - is shaped around it.

01

Impactful Grief Workshops

Guided sessions with experienced facilitators who have walked the path of loss themselves. Go as gently or deeply as feels right.

02

A Gentle Space for Grief

8-12 participants per retreat. Thoughtfully designed to meet you where you are - whether you're seeking quiet reflection or meaningful conversation.

03

Beautiful Destinations

Chosen for their beauty and their stillness. Places that give grief room to breathe - where the landscape does some of the holding, and joy is allowed back in.

04

Lasting Community

The trip ends; the connection doesn't. A group chat keeps you close with the people you travelled with, and the wider circle of those who've walked it too.

Where will your grief travel?

Three small-group retreats, each designed so that every shared meal, quiet morning, and guided workshop becomes part of your healing.

In their words

You won't be the only one who understands

The people who travel with us arrive as strangers and leave knowing they were truly seen. Here is what some of them wanted to share.

The trip made me feel less alone, seen, and alive. If you feel lost, going on a grief trip will bring you community, hope, and many beautiful moments of peace.

Best experience I've had since losing my dad. So magical and such a blessing to share this space with ladies who can hold space for each other.

Everyone brought such compassion and vulnerability. It felt non-judgmental and safe from the start. I was able to release some anger and guilt around my mom's passing.

Rachel, founder of Grief Trips
Why I started Grief Trips

I know what it's like to grieve far from home

After losing my dad, I found that the moments I felt most alive again were on the road - in a cafe in Italy, on a quiet street in Mostar, sharing my story with someone who simply understood.

Grief Trips grew from that. A space where you don't have to explain your pain or pretend you're okay. Where grief and joy can sit side by side, held by people who get it. Every trip is small, intentional, and built around you.

If you're carrying a loss and something in you is drawn to this, I'd love to welcome you.

Rachel

We don't fix grief.
We feel it, together.

Frequently asked questions
There is no right time other than when you feel called to join a Grief Trip. There is so much you can gain through giving your grief space and community - whether you're in the early months after a loss or many years later.
Anxiety is a completely natural response. At Grief Trips, you are welcome exactly as you are. If you'd like, we can schedule a virtual coffee chat with your facilitator to talk through any concerns in a supportive, pressure-free space.
Everything on the itinerary is optional. Pick and choose how you participate to nurture your energy throughout the trip. The grief workshops allow you to dive deep or explore gently. There's no right or wrong way to experience this trip.
Then you cry, and you'll be held while you do. Tears are welcome here - so is laughter, silence, and everything in between. You won't be the only one, and nobody will ask you to be okay before you're ready. This is a space built precisely for those feelings.
There isn't a type. Our travellers range widely in age, background, and the losses they carry. The one thing they share is having felt drawn to this. If something in you is curious, that's usually reason enough.
Never. You're welcome to simply be present and listen. Many people find they open up naturally over the days, but there is no expectation and no pressure. You share only what feels right, when it feels right.
Most people come on their own. Within a day, the group rarely feels like strangers. You'll arrive solo and leave with people who understand your loss in a way few others can.
Plenty built into the itinerary. You might want to explore your grief deeply, or gently. Everything is optional - notice what you want and need in each moment, rather than feeling pressure to participate in a certain way.
To reserve your spot, a non-refundable 30% deposit is required. The remaining amount is due one month before the trip.
Many people take this as their first solo trip and there isn't a better introduction. All logistics are taken care of. All you need is your flights, visa, and travel insurance - and Rachel can help with planning logistics ahead of the trip.
Go with whichever is calling you most and that you're available for on those dates. Everyone ends up on the trip they were meant to be on. If you need help choosing, feel free to schedule a discovery call.
