A grief retreat in the Maldives
Crystal water, sea turtles, and a private villa on a quiet local island where grief workshops, sharing circles and homemade Maldivian meals flow naturally into each other. Goidhoo is not a resort island. It's somewhere real, gentle and wildly beautiful, with a private chef and a house that becomes home within a day.
Why the Maldives, when you're grieving
Water holds grief like almost nothing else. On Goidhoo you're surrounded by it: snorkeling over coral gardens with turtles and rays, kayaking at dusk, a boat trip to a sandbank that is just you, the group, and the horizon.
The week closes with a candlelit farewell ceremony on the beach at sunset, a ritual many past participants describe as the moment their grief felt witnessed. Between the water and the workshops there are sharing circles, one-to-one time with facilitators, and beach dinners cooked by the villa's private chef.
